Nowadays, with all the technology that surrounds us, a baby monitor is an essential item for your nursery. Having a color baby monitor with a clear night vision is vital for your baby’s safety and your peace of mind. Sometimes I wonder how did we exist before such valuable gadgets.

4. CHANGING TABLE
I recommend you buy a sturdy changing table with the right height for you. A changing table protects your back when you are standing over your baby to change him. I tried changing my babies on a bed or a couch, and I found that my back started aching in a couple of weeks.
Some moms don’t keep the changing table in the nursery, especially after the first few weeks. They tend to place it in the corner of the family room or a spare room where you can change your baby during the day without having to go to the nursery.
Frankly, you will be using the changing table for up to two years or until your baby is potty trained. And like the crib, you will use it for your second and third children.
Also, a changing table comes with shelves or drawers where you can keep an extra change of cloth, diapers, and wipes. I found it very convenient, and both my sons purchased changing tables for their little ones, and they use them all the time.
